Mr. and Mrs. George Cox of Franklin celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a dinner party for family and friends at the Franklin Masonic lodge on July 21. The party was given by their children and Janet Cox.
Mr. Cox and his wife, the former Barbara Phillips, were married June 9, 1962, in Lincoln City.
He is retired from the Indianapolis Star and News.
She is a homemaker.
The couple have three children, Sherry Russell of Rockford, Ill., Connie Dixon of Greenwood and Alan Cox of Indianapolis; and one grandchild.
