Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Taylor of Edinburgh will celebrate their 50th anniversary today. A celebration will take place from 2 to 6 p.m. at Newbury Point Clubhouse, 501 Hammond Drive, Edinburgh.
Mr. Ellis and his wife, the former Lola Hedger, were married July 16, 1962, in Marshall, Ill.
He is retired from the Indiana Masonic Home.
She is retired from Columbus Regional Hospital.
The couple have four children, Jeffrey Taylor and Jason Taylor, both of Edinburgh, Karen Spurgeon of Brown County and Johnny Taylor of Columbus; one grafted-in son, Darren Burton of Summerville, S.C.; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
