Mr. and Mrs. Shan Rutherford of Greenwood celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a cruise to Tahiti in January.
Mr. Rutherford and his wife, the former Karen Pratt, were married July 1, 1962, in San Jose, Calif.
He is a pastor at Greenwood Christian Church.
She works at G.H. Herrmann Funeral Home as a greeter.
The couple have three children, Shan Rutherford of Austin, Texas, James Rutherford of Bargersville and Dan Rutherford of Knightsdale, N.C.; and six grandchildren.
