Mr. and Mrs. Jim Wainscott of Greenwood celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a ceremony of renewing their vows at Providence Christian Church near Bargersville and a reception with family and friends.
Mr. Wainscott and his wife, the former Jona Drake, were married May 9, 1962, at the bride’s home in Shelbyville.
He is retired from Allison Transmission Division of General Motors after 30 years of service.
She is retired from Kohl’s Department Store after 21 years.
The couple have two children, Jamie (John) Zeilinga of Morgantown and Jim (Tonia) Wainscott of Anderson; and four granddaughters.
