Mr. and Mrs. Vernie C. “Andy” Andrews of Franklin celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., with their children and their spouses.
Mr. Andrews and his wife, the former Barbara Dorsey, were married June 4, 1952, in Indianapolis.
He was a route man and supervisor for 25 years for Regan Baking Co., retiring in 1980. He was a custodian for Greenwood United Methodist Church for 12 years, retiring in 1994. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army.
She was a secretary for State Farm Insurance for 18 years, retiring in 1997.
The couple have three children, Debra (Darrell) Evans, Linda (Victor) Hughes and Steven (Brenda) Andrews; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
