Trojans win Mooresville Invitational

Paced by a 75 from Caleb Tidd, Center Grove finished with a total of 308 to win the Mooresville Invitational on Tuesday.

Peyton Short added a 76 for the Trojans, while Dylan Bonfield fired a 77.

Roncalli finished close behind in second with a score of 313, while Franklin was third at 315.

Braves win three-way

Indian Creek closed out its regular season with a pair of wins at Salt Creek on Tuesday. The Braves shot a 368 to defeat both Brown County (383) and Morristown (392).

Hunter Meredith carded a 90 to lead Indian Creek. He was followed closely by Chandler Donahue (91), Cohnor Park (92) and Scott Russell (95).

Franklin College

Grizzlies hire new XC coach

Franklin College announced the hiring of Brandon Dworak as its head men’s and women’s cross country coach and assistant track and field coach.

Dworak, a former standout runner and 2010 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, comes to Franklin from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, where he had served as an assistant since 2013.

Dworak also has been an assistant at his alma mater and Boise State.
