When Ashlyn Traylor and her younger sister, Adelyn Walker, found out that their family was moving from Martinsville to Franklin this past fall, Traylor sent a text message to her close friend and fellow senior Kuryn Brunson letting her know that they were about to become teammates.

Sophomore Dominique Proctor delivered a home run and a single to drive in four runs as the University of Indianapolis softball team opened its spring break with a 10-0 shutout of Dominican (N.Y.) in Winter Haven, Florida. Fellow Greenwood graduate and teammate Lexy Rees, a junior catcher, also homered in the victory.

Even with everything Brandon Wheat has achieved, the Center Grove senior feels two sports seasons deprived of what could have been accomplished.

Outlandish as it sounds, Tori Jackson has put herself in the unusual position of chasing herself for the next three track and field seasons.

Ashlyn Traylor’s lone basketball season at Franklin turned out to be a great one; the senior helped lead the Grizzly Cubs all the way to the Class 4A state championship game, their first appearance in the final since 1998.

The number of wrestlers wanting to end their high school career with a state championship completely dwarfs the number of those who actually do.
