INDIANAPOLIS
Ms. Diana Kay Lucas, Greenwood, passed away on the afternoon of Thursday, December 10, 2020. She was 61. Diana was born December 29, 1958 in Beech Grove, Indiana, a daughter of James R. Lucas and the late Patricia L. (Lee) Lucas.
Diana was a 1977 graduate of Center Grove High School where she played clarinet as a member of the marching band. She then continued her education at Ball State University where she graduated in 1981 with a Bachelors degree in accounting. She had been employed several years with the Indiana Department of Corrections as a programmer.
Diana enjoyed traveling, having been to four continents. She also spent much of her leisure time reading, having amassed a collection of over 30,000 books. She was also a member of the Mount Pleasant Christian Church in Greenwood.
Diana is survived by her father, James R. Lucas; her siblings, Steven Lucas and Donna Lucas as well as her nephews, Travis Bishop, Trent Bishop and Dustin Bishop.
She was preceded in passing by her mother, Patricia L. Lucas.
Services will be conducted at 2:00pm, Friday, December 18, 2020 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 12:00pm until the hour of service at the funeral home.
