Trojans shine in two events
Center Grove had a banner day on Saturday, performing well in a pair of tournaments.
The Trojans’ Red team turned in a fifth-place effort at the prestigious State Preview at Prairie View, finishing with a team total of 321. Meg Fosnot led No. 5 Center Grove with a 78, followed by Lanie DeHaven (79), Abby Rich (80) and Lauren Pagel (84).
No. 9 Franklin was ninth with a 349, led by Liv Parramore (78) and Ellie Beavins (82).
Meanwhile, the Center Grove White squad pulled away for an easy victory in the Trojan Classic at Hickory Stick, scoring a 314 to win by 29 strokes. Camille Short was the medalist in that tournament with a 76.
Whiteland (424) and Greenwood (425) were eighth and ninth, respectively.
