Greenwood police searching for suspects in tobacco store theft

Greenwood police are asking for the public’s help in identifying suspects who took $640 worth of products from a tobacco store.

An employee at Low Bob’s Discount Tobacco Store, 713 Fry Road in Greenwood, reported that a black man and woman stole $640 worth of cigarettes, lighters, scales and rolling papers Monday morning, according to a Greenwood Police Department report.

The man first attempted to pay for the products with $6, and then the woman tried to pay with a credit card that was declined, according to the report. As she tried to pay with the card, the man walked out of the store with the bags full of items. The cashier asked the woman for her ID after the card was declined and she also ran out of the store, the report said.
