GCA’s McCorkle earns scholarship
Champ McCorkle, who led Greenwood Christian to county and sectional championships as a senior, was named the inaugural recipient of the Wabash Leaders Scholarship, a recently endowed award "designed to identify young men who have demonstrated courageous, creative, and collaborative leadership," according to a Wabash College release.
McCorkle finished his senior season at GCA with averages of 15.3 points, 6.6 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 2.1 steals, all team highs. Also his class valedictorian, he committed to play his collegiate ball for the Little Giants last month.

Express to hold tryouts
The Columbus Express Soccer Club will host team tryouts June 22-25 at the Richard Wigh Soccer Complex in Columbus. Tryouts are open to boys and girls born between 2002 and 2010.
