Top-ranked Cougars improve to 17-0

Senior forward Andrew Anderson scored 24 points to lead the Greenwood Christian boys basketball team to a 65-49 victory at International. The win, which also included 15 points from senior center Champ McCorkle and 12 from junior forward Styles McCorkle, improved the Cougars, the state’s No. 1 team in Class A, to 17-0 entering Thursday’s game at Morristown.

Rebels’ Marsh steps down

Scott Marsh has resigned as the football coach at Roncalli, the school announced Monday morning.

Marsh, who was 18-15 and won one Class 4A sectional title in three seasons with the Rebels, is stepping down to take the head coaching job at West Jessamine High School in Kentucky.

Roncalli is currently accepting applications for the opening.
