Second Center Grove bus accident in 2 days

For the second consecutive day, a Center Grove Community Schools bus driver was involved in a minor accident.

The accident occurred about 4 p.m. Tuesday, when a school bus hit a vehicle near Runyon Road and Smith Valley Road, leaving a scratch on the bumper. There were no injuries and Center Grove police were dispatched to the scene. The accident caused a delay in students getting home, spokesperson Stacy Conrad said.

The bus driver was driving an elementary school route and there were six students on the bus when the accident happened, she said.

This accident follows one that occurred Monday morning, when another a Center Grove school bus hit a parked car pulling onto Summit Ridge Road. There were no injuries or bus damage in that accident either.
