Shepherd finishes fourth at Rolex

Center Grove graduate Erica Shepherd carded a final-round 72 to finish fourth at the Rolex Girls Junior Championship, which concluded Friday in Johns Island, South Carolina.

Shepherd, who came into the day tied for fourth at 4 under par, balanced out bogeys on the second and 12th holes with birdies on 7 and 18. Her round was enough to hold position on a day that saw just 11 of 71 players break par. It was not, however, enough to catch winner Alexa Pano, who shot a 70 to finish at -14 overall and win by four strokes.
