A Franklin man was arrested after a child told police he touched her inappropriately and had her touch him.
Austin James Hertenstein, 24, 127 Depot St., was arrested on a charge of child molesting.
A child who is less than 14 years old told police that in the late spring or early summer of 2018, she was taking a nap when Hertenstein touched her inappropriately. Hertenstein then grabbed the child’s hand and had her touch him inappropriately, according to a probable cause affidavit.
Hertenstein knew a relative of the child, according to the affidavit.
He was arrested Monday and booked into the Johnson County jail, where he was held on $1,200 bond.
