Man with knife robs Dollar General

A man pulled a knife in a Dollar General store in Franklin on Monday night, demanding cash, police said.

Police are looking for the suspect, who got away. No one was injured.

The robbery happened about 7:40 p.m. Monday at the Dollar General, 1882 Northwood Plaza Drive, off U.S. 31, according to a Franklin police report.

Employees said a man walked through the store for a short time, then showed a knife and demanded money from the register, the report said.

Franklin police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the police department tip line at 317-346-1100.
