Annual dinner will help fund memorial scholarship

An evening out consisting of a pork chop dinner and high school basketball will help benefit a scholarship fund.

The 21st annual Carrie Clayburn Memorial Dinner will be 5 p.m. Jan. 5 at Indian Creek High School, 803 W. Indian Creek Drive, Trafalgar. Dinner will be served until halftime of the 6 p.m. girls basketball game between Indian Creek and Brown County, the first part of a girls-boys varsity doubleheader that evening.

Pork chops — all 625 of them — are being provided by the Indian Creek FFA and smorgasbord dinner will be provided by area churches.

A free will offering will go to a scholarship in Clayburn’s name.
