To the editor:
I would like to publicly express my appreciation and gratitude for the concerted and on-going effort of the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office and Franklin and Greenwood police departments in pursuing and arresting drug offenders in this area.
I believe these efforts are going a long way toward making Johnson County a safer place to live and raise our children. The recent arrests of 120 local drug dealers — and putting their mug shots on Page 1 of the newspaper — sends a loud and clear message to drug pushers and users that this county is serious about getting the drugs and the culture that goes with them out of here.
I thank each and every police officer involved in this effort.
