Grizzly Cubs fall to No. 4 Olympians

COLUMBUS

Franklin led fourth-ranked Columbus East 21-17 with five matches remaining Thursday night, but the Olympians won all five of those to pull out a 41-21 victory.

Wyatt Strain won by decision at 160 pounds to begin the match for the Grizzly Cubs. Harris Eason won by pin at 195.

Decisions by Jake Johnson at 285 and Dayson Lashlee at 106 gave Franklin a 15-14 lead and a pin by Jake Bechert at 120 gave the Grizzly Cubs a 21-17 advantage, but after that, it was all East.

"We won a couple matches, but we lost a couple matches we should have won early," Franklin coach Bob Hasseman said. "We showed our age a little bit. But it was a good match for us. (Columbus East) is a good team."
