Holiday movie time has arrived.

After you have put up your Christmas tree and sipped the cocoa, you can take the kiddos to a movie that will keep the holiday spirit alive.

Two holiday movies are playing locally on the big screen.

The Artcraft Theatre in Franklin continues their holiday movie series with "It’s A Wonderful Life."

George Bailey is thinking of ending his life when an angel, Clarence, shows him what the world would have been like without him.

Seeing the impact on his family and friend’s lives without him convinces Bailey that his life is worth living. The movie stars James Stewart, Donna Reed and Lionel Barrymore.

Pixy Theatre in Edinburgh plays an animated holiday movie, "The Polar Express."

A little boy who is starting to lose his belief in Santa takes a ride on the magical train to the North Pole, where he meets Santa Claus.

"The Polar Express" is safe for the family with a G rating. "It’s A Wonderful Life" is rated PG for some smoking and violence.
