Woodmen fall to Quakers

Greenwood’s girls lost to Plainfield on Monday, 120-66, while the Woodmen boys lost by a 124-56 score.

Grace Nuhfer won the 200-yard individual medley and the 100 butterfly for the Woodmen, while joining Rachel Knight, Madison Peckinpaugh and Ava Leininger on the victorious 200 freestyle relay.

Conner Peckinpaugh (500 freestyle) and Joe Sheets (100 fly) were individual winners for the boys.

Greenwood’s Stilley chooses Lakers

Alyssa Stilley, a senior at Greenwood, signed a letter of intent to play next season at Roosevelt College, an NAIA school in Chicago.

Franklin College

Men’s basketball drops one in Florida

On the front end of a four-game road swing, Franklin College suffered a 98-87 defeat at Florida College on Monday.

Four players scored in double figures for the Grizzlies (1-2). Sam Gutierrez led the way with 25 points, followed by Matt Krause with 21. Danny Goggans had 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Kale Morris scored 16.
