The husband-wife duo is united by a love of music, and at the core is a love for harmony power old-time sounds of blues and bluegrass. Frank and Allie Lee have toured all over the country, making it as far as France earlier this year, but return to Allie Lee’s hometown for an intimate show at the history Pixy Theatre.

In April, they released an album, "Roll On, Clouds," that showcased their favorite songs from over two years of performing together. The songs weave together the sounds of traditional blues, classic bluegrass and timeless roots aesthetic. 

TURKEY BURN THANKSGIVING DAY RUN/WALK, 9 a.m. Nov. 22, Craig Park, 10 E. Smith Valley Road, Greenwood. $20 to $40.

You know by the end of Thanksgiving Day, you’re going to be stuffed full of turkey, stuffing, green bean casserole and pumpkin pie. So before the onslaught of eating begins, preemptively start burning off those calories.

The 8th annual Turkey Burn features a 5K, 10K and 1.5-mile walk/run around downtown Greenwood. Registration packages include options for the race and a commemorative tumbler or long-sleeve t-shirt, and everyone who signs up gets free race photos and a chance to "find a turkey" and get a prize. 

All of the proceeds for the event go to support the sons of Jamie Sue Ramey, a Greenwood native who died from cancer in 2012. Not only do you get a chance to stop the holiday weight-gain before it starts, but you get to do so celebrating the life of a beloved local resident.
