Lancers swept by Waldron

Edinburgh suffered a three-set loss to Waldron on Monday, 25-14, 25-14, 25-19. The Lancers (1-24) will host Franklin in the Johnson County tournament on Wednesday.

Rebels prevail in four

Roncalli defeated Heritage Christian on Monday, 25-9, 25-19, 16-25, 25-21. Miranda Wilson had 11 kills and Emma Halter pulled up 32 digs for the Rebels.

Girls soccer

Trojans soak Pioneers

Center Grove got three goals from Piper Belden in a 4-0 victory over Mooresville on Monday. Paige Waskom also scored for the Trojans (13-2), who play at Carmel Thursday in a match that will determine the MIC champion.

Rebels fall to Brebeuf

Roncalli got a goal from Aryssa Vaughn but lost to Brebeuf on Monday, 4-1.

Boys tennis

Braves, Artesians tie

Monday’s match between Indian Creek and Martinsville was halted due to rain with the score tied at 2-2.

The Braves swept the doubles matches, with Cody Hart and Mitchell Walls winning at No. 1 and Garrett Dalton and Jaden Schrougham doing the same at No. 2.

Women’s tennis stays perfect

Franklin College stayed unbeaten with an 8-1 victory over Manchester on Sunday. Karen Dringenburg, Maddie Bright, Grace Otte and Brianna Hutton each won in both singles and doubles. Alexa Schofner picked up a singles point for the Grizzlies (4-0, 3-0 HCAC), and Tapanga Gauck and Emily Seger won at No. 3 doubles.

Men’s tennis narrowly defeated

Despite singles victories from Blake Amonett, Matt Stone, Josh Stewart and Matt Leming, Franklin College dropped a tight 5-4 match at Manchester on Sunday.
