Local marching bands across the county snagged top five placings at weekend competitions.
Indian Creek, Center Grove and Whiteland competed at the Greenwood Invitational.
Center Grove High School’s band snagged the top spot in Class A and earned awards for Best Music, Visual, General Effect and Pit Crew.
The Whiteland Community High School Marching Warriors earned fourth in Class A.
Indian Creek’s Marching Braves snagged fifth place in Class C.
Greenwood’s Marching Woodmen marched in exhibition. Their performance was not scored.
Franklin Community High School’s Blue Regiment placed third in Class B at the Avon Invitational.
Greenwood, Franklin, Indian Creek and Center Grove will compete at Ben Davis High School this weekend. Whiteland is not competing this weekend.
