Storage units broken into in Nineveh

Several units at a storage facility in Nineveh were broken into recently.

Owners of Nineveh Self Storage, 8034 S. Nineveh Road, told police someone broke into six units between Sept. 9 and Sunday, and another five units between 5:30 p.m. Monday and 5 p.m. Tuesday, according to a report from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.

The owners suspect someone is coming through the main gate during normal business hours and breaking into the units, police said.

Business owners reported the break-ins to police Tuesday. They are working to notify the renters whose units were broken into so they can compile a list of stolen items.

The sheriff’s office is investigating.
