Some residents in Whiteland are advised to boil their water after a contractor hit a water main line.
The Town of Whiteland’s Water Works has issued a water boil order for residents that live on the following streets. The order is in place until Friday afternoon.
- Main Street east of the railroad tracks
- North Front Street from Main to Poplar streets
- Pearl Street from the railroad tracks to Elm Street
- Boone Street
- Elm Street
- North and South State streets
- Brewer Street
- Poplar Street
- Walnut Street
- Willow Drive
Residents should boil water for at least five minutes.
The town will do required tests and notify residents when the water is safe.
