Local marching bands earned top five finishes at weekend invitationals.
Center Grove, Greenwood and Indian Creek all competed in Brownsburg.
The Marching Woodmen and Irish Guard snagged first place at Class B and honors in percussion, color guard, visual, music and general effect.
Center Grove’s band placed second in Class A. The Marching Braves of Indian Creek placed third in Class C.
The Marching Warriors of Whiteland Community High School earned fourth in Class A in a competition at Lawrence Central.
