An annual festival that honors a colonel will be in Morgantown on Saturday.
Col. John Vawter Day in downtown Morgantown kicks off with breakfast that starts at 7 a.m. at the Morgantown Community Center. 8 a.m. kicks-off the Vawter Day Dash, open baking contest drop off, a rummage sale, silent auction and car show registration.
Other events include live music, kid’s activities, wagon rides, a car show, chainsaw carving demonstration, a pie eating contest, hot dog eating contest and raffle drawings.
