Local farmers interested in applying for a grant to help sustainable farming practices can attend a workshop.
Purdue Extension and Indiana North Central Region Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education will offer free workshops for those interested in applying for a SARE grant.
A local workshop will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at First Financial Bank, 1250 N. Emerson Ave., Greenwood.

These workshops will provide an introduction to current grants, applicant eligibility and how to apply for funding. The goal of the workshops is to help potential Indiana applicants learn more about these funding sources, and perhaps increase their chances of success.
