People who have survived a stroke or cared for someone who has can attend a conference where they can meet other survivors.
The Retreat & Refresh Stroke Camp, sponsored by Franciscan Health Stroke Center, will be Sept. 21-23 at Waycross Camo and Conference Center, 7363 Bear Creek Road, Morgantown.
Participants can build bonds with other survivors and participate in activities that may have not been possible since having the stroke.
The camp will be staffed by several hospital volunteers who will help with a full range of activities, including games, hiking/walking, drum circles, entertainment and swimming. Participants also will be included in discussion groups and provided with various stroke resources.
