Letter: Senators asked to consider abortion stance of nominee

To the editor:

Open letter to Senators Joseph Donnelly and Todd Young:

I am writing regarding your deliberations regarding the upcoming vacancy on the Supreme Court of the United States.

Since the 1973 Roe vs. Wade Supreme Court decision, the U.S. has now eliminated almost 60 million innocent human lives whose lost potential is known only to God. Surely this nation — blessed beyond any others by God — must confront and put an end to this abominable stain on the national soul. As a constituent, I respectfully ask you to disregard the histrionic drum beat of the misguided pro-abortion community to make support for Roe v Wade a litmus test for any nominee. Ultimately this nation has to come to the recognition that our Constitutional guarantee of Right to Life must surely apply to every innocent human life at any stage within the womb!

Thank you for this opportunity to express my views on this important issue.
