Four arrested during traffic stop

Four people were arrested after drugs were discovered in the search of a vehicle during a Thursday morning traffic stop.

Shannel Walsman, 30, of Franklin, was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a restricted drug injection device, trafficking with an inmate, identity deception and contempt.

Michael Cunningham, 27, of Franklin, was arrested on charges of possession of a restricted drug injection device, possession of methamphetamine and trafficking with an inmate.

John Haas, 30, of Franklin, and Haley Brock, 20, of Franklin, were arrested on a charges of possession of methamphetamine.

Police stopped the car on U.S. 31 near County Line Road about 12:15 a.m. Thursday and a search of the vehicle, which was being driven by Brock, uncovered drugs in a purse and backpack, a Greenwood Police Department report said.

A baggie of meth and a needle were found. A baggie of meth was also found in Walsman’s possession, and Cunningham had a syringe in his pocket, the report said. A search at the jail uncovered a syringe Walsman had concealed, the report said.

Haas, 351 Yandes St.; Brock, 1670 Francis St.; Walsman, 468 S. Main St.; and Cunningham, 320 E. Adams St., were arrested and taken to the Johnson County jail.

Haas and Brock were held on $1,200 bond, Walsman was held on $6,900 bond and Cunningham was held on $5,700 bond.
