Mortgage company adds loan officer

Ruoff Home Mortgage has added a loan officer to the Greenwood office.

Dan Duffer was previously with Huntington Bank prior to joining Ruoff. He started in the industry in 2010 as a personal banker and went on to be a mortgage loan officer and branch manager.

Surgeon earns award

A colon and rectal surgeon with Franciscan Physician Network has earned an award.

Tobi Reidy, a surgeon with Franciscan Physician Network Indiana Colon & Rectal Specialists, has been honored with the quarterly Franciscan Health Healing Hands Award for the third quarter of 2017.

Reidy, who practices at the Indianapolis and Mooresville hospitals, accepted the Healing Hands Award at a ceremony in Indianapolis on March 29 and will be honored again in Mooresville on May 1. The Healing Hands award recognizes physicians for excellence in clinical skills, patient relations, research, stewardship and reflection of the hospital’s ministry values and mission.

She is board-certified in surgery and a Fellow in the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons. She earned her medical degree at Nova Southeastern University – College of Osteopathic Medicine in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and completed her surgical residency at The Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati. She gained fellowship training in colon and rectal surgery through IU at Indiana Colon and Rectal Specialists.

Franklin resident nominated to be on college board of trustees

Craig Wells of Franklin is among six nominees for a trustee seat at Indiana University. 

Six of the nine IU trustees are appointed by the governor, and the remaining three seats are elected by alumni to staggered, three-year terms.

Each June, alumni choose a trustee from a ballot of nominated individuals. At least 100 alumni must sign a petition to put a person’s name on the ballot.

For more than 20 years, Wells has served as an alumni mentor at the Kelley School of Business in Bloomington. He has served on the board of the Johnson County chapter of the IU Alumni Association, and on the board of the South Florida chapter. He is active in IU’s Alumni Leadership Network, and is a life member of the IU Alumni Association.

Southside family and sports medicine gets new physician

A Morgantown resident has established a practice with Franciscan Physician Network Southport Family and Sports Medicine.

Beth Yegerlehner, MD, joins Jeffrey Peterson, MD, Christine Shock, MD, Erhard Bell, MD, and a team of advance care providers who provide a range of family practice and sports medicine services for patients of all ages.

Yegerlehner most recently practiced with a medical group in Martinsville, providing inpatient, outpatient and obstetrical care. She also served as medical director for a Morgan County behavioral unit overseeing the medical management of geriatric patients. She has a special interest in nutrition and weight management.

Board-certified in family medicine, Yegerlehner received an undergraduate degree from Purdue University and earned her medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine. She completed family medicine residency training at Franciscan Health.
