Fire at indoor shooting range under investigation

An indoor firing range and gun store in Greenwood caught on fire Sunday evening.

The cause of the fire in the backstop at Point Blank, 1031 Greenwood Springs Drive, is under investigation, Greenwood Fire Department spokesman Chad Tatman said.

One person had inhaled smoke, but refused medical treatment, he said.

The range safety officer reported the fire at 6:12 p.m. Sunday evening. The business was still open and people were inside when the fire started, Tatman said. Firefighters said the building was filling with smoke.

The extent of the damage was not immediately clear, Tatman said.
