BEND, Ore. — A woman mauled by two dogs in rural Deschutes County says the correct canines are imprisoned.
Joy Stanovich-Brown and a neighbor inspected a lineup Wednesday at the Humane Society of Central Oregon. The visit was necessary because the owner of the suspect dogs insists one of them was misidentified.
The Bend Bulletin reports that Stanovich-Brown and the neighbor who rescued her are certain that a female boxer named Brandy is one of the attackers. The dogs fractured Stanovich-Brown’s right ankle, damaged the nerves in her right hand and left lacerations up and down her legs.
A county board will meet next week to decide whether Brandy and a male boxer named Marshall should be killed.
