STRATFORD, Conn. — Police in Connecticut say a home health care aide stole more than $100,000 worth of rings from the woman she was caring for.
Stratford police say 32-year-old Nicole Passander was arrested last week and charged with first-degree larceny. The Connecticut Post reports a warrant was issued for the Ansonia woman after an investigation and she was arrested on April 6.
Capt. Frank Eannotti says police initiated their investigation in March after the victim reported the suspected theft.
Passander posted $30,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Friday. It wasn’t clear if she had hired a lawyer.
