Scoop: Google Expedition virtual reality kit

Teachers in Franklin Community Schools will be able to take their students to visit the Great Barrier Reef in Australia or to explore a medieval castle in Europe without leaving the classroom.

The district has purchased a Google Expeditions virtual reality kit for teachers and students. Educators can use virtual reality technology to take students anywhere in the world, including places they would never be able to go otherwise.

The kit is taking an inaugural tour through the district this semester.
