1600 block of E. Jefferson Street: An employee of a group home reported at 2:28 a.m. Friday that a resident smacked her and threw a knife at her.

Theft

1700 block of U.S. 31: A man reported at 10:09 a.m. Thursday that a pack of cigarettes was missing from his vehicle.

Property-damage accidents

2:52 p.m. Thursday — U.S. 31 and Commerce Drive.

Shoplifting

Kohls, 550 Fry Road: Police responded at 4:55 p.m. Thursday to a report of shoplifting. Two people were issued summons to appear in court.

Theft

Salvation Army, 325 Market Plaza: An employee reported at 10:08 a.m. Thursday that someone stole the vehicle that belongs to the Salvation Army.

Rigoberto Garcia, 33, 8709 S. Keystone Ave., Apt. 3, Indianapolis; arrested on a charge of driving while suspended with a previous conviction; held on $2,000 bond.
