TUCSON, Ariz. — Police in Tucson have released the name of a man killed in a drive-by shooting.

Officers responded to a residence on the city’s east side shortly after noon Friday and found two men with signs of gunshot trauma.

Officers began rendering aid to the men until paramedics arrived.

One of the men — 51-year-old Jesus Castro — was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Police say Castro’s son sustained serious injuries and remains hospitalized in stable condition.

Castro reportedly was sitting in his truck talking to his two sons when a vehicle pulled up and someone inside opened fire on Castro and his sons with what appeared to be an assault rifle and a handgun.

Investigators say the shooting wasn’t random and the suspects were targeting the victims.
