REDMOND, Wash. — A woman arrested after her wife’s death in Redmond has had bail set at $1 million.

The SeattlePI reported on Thursday that the man who rented a room to the couple about a month ago called police Tuesday night.

Court documents say he hadn’t seen the pair in several days, entered their room and found what appeared to be a body wrapped up in carpet and a sheet.

Redmond police found a 26-year-old woman’s body with cuts on her neck and a stab wound to her torso. Police say her body had likely been there for days.

Police arrested the suspect in Redmond Wednesday.

Police reports say she initially denied knowing what happened to her wife, but then claimed her wife’s death was a “mistake” and that she put her in a choke hold while they were “wrestling around.”
