BISMARCK, N.D. — A man stabbed in the throat at a Bismarck motel told police he has no idea who attacked him.

The 40-year-old victim was treated Monday at a hospital where he said he was beaten and stabbed in the throat with a drywall saw at his motel room.

The Bismarck Tribune says the man told police he had earlier been drinking with two men and a woman in his room and told them to leave. He says they may have taken a room key from him and later re-entered his room.

Police Sgt. Mark Buschena says the man was also treated for a cut on the top of his head. There’s no word on his condition.
