BALTIMORE — Police are seeking information on three individuals they say may have been involved in a shooting at an off-campus dormitory near Morgan State University.

Baltimore Police spokesman T.J. Smith said at a press conference Tuesday that the shooting appears to be an altercation between people who knew each other. He said video surveillance in the dorm shows an exchange of gunfire Tuesday night in a hallway of the Morgan View Apartments.

The privately managed, gated dorms are steps from the Morgan State campus and reserved for upperclassmen and graduate students.

Smith said it’s unclear if anyone was actually injured in the shooting.

The university issued a statement Tuesday saying it is coordinating with police and building management to increase security over the next seven days.
