Rebecca J. Matlock (Becki), 66, of Indianapolis passed away on March 25, 2018. Becki was born on April 29, 1951 in Crawfordsville, IN to Albert and Betty White and was baptized at the First Christian Church. She attended Crawfordsville High School where she was a member of the National Honor Society and was involved in Rainbow Girls, holding the title of Worthy Advisor.

Becki attended IU, where she met her husband, Merrill, and was his Little 500 “Star Tri-cyclist.” Becki was a member of Southport Presbyterian Church (SPC) and was involved in youth and adult ministries. Her greatest passion was being involved in the leadership of the Great Banquet at SPC. Becki was a gifted quilter and extremely creative. She loved reading, music, and auto racing. A highlight was meeting Mario Andretti and Paul Newman while eating at Iaria’s, her favorite restaurant. Her happy place was being at Disney where she entertained family and friends.

Becki is preceded in death by her parents and stillborn child, Sarah Denise Matlock. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 46 years, Merrill Matlock; son, Michael (Elizabeth) Matlock; daughter, Jana Christine Matlock; sister, Rita (Rob) Arthur; sister in law, Linda Matlock; grandchildren, Meghan Schneider, Allyson Schneider, Jackson Schneider, Ella Matlock and William Matlock; nieces and nephews, Anthony Locastro, Wendy Reed, April Stanbary and Amber Smith.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 PM – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, IN 46143. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Forest Lawn. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the “Give Kids the World Village” at GKTW.ORG
