Celebrating Easter: Local communities planning festivities

Whether you are on the hunt for what may be in a Peep marshmallow candy or you want your family to go Easter egg hunting, the county has an event for you.

All across the county, local communities, churches and libraries are planning festivities for the week leading up to Easter.

Here is a look at the events:

GREATER WHITELAND EASTER EGG HUNT, noon Easter bunny arrives, 1 p.m. Easter egg hunt, March 24, Clark Pleasant School grounds, 50 Center St.

MARSHMALLOW PEEP SCIENCE, 4 p.m. March 30, Clark-Pleasant branch, 530 Tracy Road, New Whiteland. What would happen if you poured soda over a marshmallow Peep? Join us to find out and help with other experiments.

FRANKLIN EASTER EGG HUNT, 10 a.m. March 31, Province Park, Franklin.

EASTER EGG HUNT, 10 a.m. March 31, Greenwood Community High School soccer field, 615 W. Smith Valley Road.

EASTER EGG HUNT, 2 p.m. March 31, Providence Christian Church, 4080 W. County Road 100 N. Bargersville

EASTER EGG HUNT, 3 p.m. March 31, Triumph Church of Greenwood, 99 W. Broadway St. Free. Ages baby to 10, separated into separate age groups.
