Grizzly Cubs split first two

Franklin split its first two matches of the season, rallying past Hamilton Southeastern on Tuesday and falling to Carmel on Wednesday.

In their opener, the Grizzlies dropped the first two sets before storming back for a 21-25, 16-25, 25-14, 25-21, 16-14 victory. Austin Sewell had 17 assists and eight aces, Josiah Rockey delivered 10 kills and Logan Snyder with 18 digs. Andy Bennett and Tate Clendening added three blocks each.

Franklin fell short against the Greyhounds, 17-25, 26-24, 16-25, 23-25. Rockey had eight kills in defeat, while Sewell dished out 18 assists. Bennett (four blocks) and Snyder (nine digs) paced the defense.
