Letter: ‘Columnist’ displays humorous approach

To the editor:

I want to let you know how much I have enjoyed your humor “columnist,” Mr. George Allen, this past year.

His semi-regular pieces of deadpan humor praising the intellect, integrity, business acumen, intelligence, and statecraft of our current president is hilarious. I don’t know how he does it with a straight face. His satirical praise of this administration’s antics is spot-on. And I have to laugh out loud when he calls his fellow columnist, Dan Thomasson, “a liberal.”

Mr. Allen’s most recent “column” noting the 93 percent negative media coverage written accurately about the 93 percent negative goings-on in the White House was side-splitting. I am loathe to suggest additional newsprint space that might threaten Norman Knight or Dick Wolfsie, but you really should give George Allen more space on the editorial page than that single column to the far right
