WILMINGTON, Del. — Hundreds of students at one of Delaware’s biggest Catholic schools are protesting the firing of their principal.
Media reports said Monday that students at the Padua Academy protested outside the school while wearing pink in honor of former principal Cindy Mann.
St. Anthony of Padua Parish has not commented directly why Mann was dismissed last week. The parish did issue a statement discussing its financial relationship with the all-girl school.
Police said they expected the protest to last all day.
