GREENWOOD
William “Bill” Newlon, 78, Greenwood, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018, at Franklin Meadow following an extended illness.
He was born on August 26, 1939, in Herrin, Illinois to Milfred and Vivien (Bailey) Newlon.
Bill was graduated from Herrin High School and received a BA from Southern Illinois University.
He retired in 2002 as a pharmaceutical representative with Norvo Nordisk and had worked at one time at Eli Lilly.
Bill was member of the Center Grove Church.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Peggy (Timmons); one son, David (Toni); one daughter, Jennifer (Randy) Weaver; two grandchildren, Austin and Amanda; and two great-grandchildren, Amanda and Amorah; and one brother, David.
William was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, March 16, 2018, at Center Grove Church, 2340 South State Road 135, Greenwood, Indiana with PR. Art DeBruyn officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM Friday, March 16, 2018, at Center Grove Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Center Grove Church or Parkinson’s Foundation.
