FRANKLIN
Johnny M. Burton, 68 of Franklin, Indiana passed away March 13, 2018 at Community Hospital South, Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born January 26, 1950 in Columbus, Indiana. He was the son of Van Burton and Elizabeth (Burton) Campbell.
He is survived by brothers, Jimmy (Marilyn) Burton of Edinburgh, Indiana, Jackie Ray Burton of Taylorsville, Indiana, Jerry Burton of Franklin, Indiana, and Junior Burton of Edinburgh, Indiana, sisters, Judy (Gene) Coy of Edinburgh, Indiana and Julie Ford of Franklin, Indiana, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, James Wesley Burton and Jeffery Lynn Burton.
He was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Herndon Lodge #95, Edinburgh, Indiana.
He was a truck mechanic for Heritage Environmental Services in Indianapolis.
He liked watching NASCAR and NHRA auto racing and going to Bluegrass Festivals and car shows in Tennessee. He enjoyed taking his show cars to the Dog and Suds in Greenwood, Indiana. He also loved animal and attending family reunions.
A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 11:00 AM by Reverend Lewis Burton at Who-So-Ever-Will Community Church in Edinburgh, Indiana. Calling will be from 4:00 until 8:00 PM on Friday at the church and from 9:30 AM until time of service Saturday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
