4 arrested after search at Edinburgh home

Four people were arrested on drug charges after police searched an Edinburgh home.

Police went to the home in the 500 block of Fulford Drive just after 10 p.m. Monday to serve a warrant. Inside, they found methamphetamine, marijuana, multiple syringes and other drug paraphernalia, according to the Edinburgh Police Department report.

Police arrested the following Edinburgh residents:

  • Margaret A. Ramey, 32, 200 W. Perry St., on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, visiting a common nuisance and a warrant.
  • Tony E. McGeorge, 48, on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia, possession of a restricted drug injection device and maintaining a common nuisance.
  • Julia L. Watkins, 21, on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine and a warrant.
  • Jeremy D. Prater, 37, on charges of possession of marijuana and visiting a common nuisance.

McGeorge, Watkins and Prater all live at 517 Fulford Drive.

Inside the home, officers found at least 10 syringes, along with marijuana and methamphetamine. Residents told police they did not know there were drugs inside the home, the report said.

All four were arrested and taken to the Johnson County jail.

Ramey and Watkins were held at the jail without bond. McGeorge was held on $9,200 bond, and Prater was held on $2,000 bond.
